Joseph L. Rosenberg CPA is a life-long resident of New Jersey, and graduated New York University in 1971. He became a Certified Public Accountant in New Jersey in 1974 and subsequently became licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in New York State as well . After working at small, medium and large accounting firms, Mr. Rosenberg formed his own accounting practice in 1983.
Mr. Rosenberg has been a consultant to the New Jersey Small Business Development Centers since 1987. Business owners can come to a center and get free counseling from experienced advisors. There are over nine hundred centers across the US.
Mr. Rosenberg is also a Certified Quickbooks Advisor. This means you can find him at the Quickbooks website if you are in need of help with Quickbooks, a product which has captured over 90% of the small business market.
In addition to this accounting, tax, and consulting practice, Mr. Rosenberg also teaches business planning, taxes, recordkeeping and Quickbooks at two NJ community college programs geared to new entrepreneurs. He also teaches a workshop on buying a business four times a year in the continuing education department at County College of Morris, and Sussex County Community College, both in New Jersey.
A published columnist, Mr. Rosenberg writes a monthly column on tax and accounting issues for the Caribbean American & Hispanic Business Journal. Mr. Rosenberg is an active Member of the Regional Business Partnership (Newark, NJ),the Morris County (NJ) Chamber of Commerce, and the Hanover (NJ) area Chamber of Commerce, which includes Florham Park
Mr. Rosenberg is a Vice President in charge of membership for the New York University Stern School of Business Alumni Association of New Jersey. The group holds networking events and business-related panels and lectures.
Mr. Rosenberg has been the president of the Livingston NJ library endowment fund for the past few years. The library is undergoing a major expansion at this time, and his guidance will be useful in this large scale community project.
Mr. Rosenberg has been elected treasurer of the Jewish Historical Society of Metrowest (New Jersey), replacing a founding member who passed away. He is bringing new insight to the board as well as reorganizing the books by implementing Quickbooks.
Mr. Rosenberg is a past regional and local officer in B'nai B'rith International, a one hundred sixty year old Jewish fraternal organization. For the last fourteen years he has organized on Christmas Day a volunteer group of about fifty people to assist at nursing homes, hospitals and other care centers so that the regular volunteers can be home at that time with their families.
